Truman Building, headquarters of the U.S. State Department and its diplomatic reception rooms, including the Thomas Jefferson State Reception Room, appointed with some of the best Americana of the 18th and 19th centuries. Highlights include a 1958 signed letter by Martin Luther King Jr.; a circa 1965 Andy Warhol lithograph; and a unique, turn-of-the-20th-century, hand-wrought Gorham silver tea set, valued at $90,000.
