Jun 25, 2013

Reenactors fire a mid-19th-century cannon at the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park to punctuate a discussion of collecting antique cannon artillery. Discoveries include an 1826 Tennessee hunting horn; a Regency cellarette once owned by the poet Lord Byron; and an heirloom necklace whose centerpiece is a five-carat diamond, valued at $250,000.

"Chattanooga, TN, Pt. 1" on Antiques Roadshow airs on Monday, July 1st at 7:00 p.m. on channel 3-1 and 8:00 p.m. on channel 3.

The owner of this 19th-century diamond, pearl and platinum heirloom necklace knew she had something special when she brought it to ANTIQUES ROADSHOW in Chattanooga, Tennessee. However, the rare five-carat diamond centerpiece puts the jewelry in a category all its own, with an estimated value of $250,000.
