A new episode of Pioneers of Television airs on Tuesday, April 29th at 7 pm

Diahann Carroll as Julia, TV’s first African-American woman in a non-servant role.

This episode traces the story of people of color on American television — including the mid-1960s breakthroughs of African Americans Diahann Carroll (“Julia”) and Bill Cosby (“I Spy”). Latino landmarks range from “I Love Lucy” with Desi Arnaz to “Miami Vice” with Edward James Olmos. Also featured are Asian-Americans like George Takei (“Star Trek”), who details his youth spent in a Japanese internment camp.

Eagles of Mercy airs on Monday, April 28th at 9 pm

In the early hours of D-Day, two young American medics with the 101st Airborne "Screaming Eagles" parachuted into France, and soon found themselves trapped in a 12th-century Norman church in the small village of Angoville-au-Plain. Medics Robert Wright and Kenneth Moore provided first aid to the first casualties of D-Day while a savage battle raged outside between American and German forces.

EAGLES OF MERCY recounts a seldom-told chapter in the World War II narrative, picking up in the opening moments of D-Day. Shoes from "The Beverly Hillbillies" are appraised on Antiques Roadshow on April 28th

ANTIQUES ROADSHOW travels to Anaheim, California, where host Mark L. Walberg and appraiser Richard Johnston head to Rickenbacker International Corporation to discuss vintage electric guitars. Highlights include two pairs of performance shoes that belonged to “The Beverly Hillbillies” star Buddy Ebsen; a jade jewelry collection that includes a necklace, ring and earrings, appraised for $30,000 to $36,000; and an oil painting titled Sacré-Couer et Moulin, by French artist Maurice Utrillo, valued at $80,000 to $120,000.

Millie is abducted during Bletchley Circle on Sunday, April 27th at 9 pm

Millie’s import/export sideline leads to her abduction by a crime ring involved in trading perfume, cigarettes and stockings — and in human trafficking. After her release, Millie is determined to help those sold into prostitution. Millie, Jean, Lucy and Alice decide to tip off Customs and Excise to intercept a contraband shipment and catch the traffickers.
